QUESTION: How can I have a full and comfortable view of this website?

ANSWER: This technical website suppose to be viewed on large horizontal screen as desktop computers, laptops, smart TVs and tablets (important: if using a tablet like an I-pad  it has to be set up on:"desktop view" when your browser prompt it), the graphic design and information are easier and more comfortable to view on a wide horizontal screen of Desktops and Laptops rather than on a small vertical phone screen.

Q) I have just shared my solution. Where can I see my entry, I mean, where I can check I just wrote?

A) Please wait that your entry is reviewed. It will take few hours. After that,  please visit “SEARCH FOR SOLUTIONS” page and scroll the table horizontally (to see all categories) and vertically (to see all entries)using the side scroll bars.

Q) I would like to submit more than one solution on the “SHARE YOUR SOLUTIONS” page because my company uses several different energy-saving strategies. How can I do this?

A) Each energy-saving solution must be submitted through a separate application form.This to ensure a smooth navigation and efficient management of a database that may contain thousands of entries. When submitting an additional solution, you may enter your  same company name, Skål Club, contact details if you wish, and other relevant information again, while describing the second, third, or any further solution your company uses. There is no limit to the number of forms you may submit. After your solutions have been published, please visit the “SEARCH FOR SOLUTIONS” page and scroll through the table horizontally to view all categories and vertically to view all entries, using the scroll bars provided.

Q) How can I buy some of the solutions described on the website?
A) This is a non-profit website and a free service for the SKÅL International community. If you are interested in any of the solutions described, please contact your colleague that has entered thew solutions in the database, using the email, address written in the database at "contact person" field. Or you can search for solutions on the market using other tools, or by contacting the producer company directly, by google searching them.

Q) How long this initiative will last? 

A) The development of this website and all related expenses are fully covered by our sponsor. The first year, 2026–2027, will be dedicated to building the database with solutions submitted by hospitality professionals.

Based on the initiative’s level of success and participation, we will then evaluate how best to continue it in future years, including the required timelines, procedures, resources and responsible personnel.

Q) In the list of possible energy-saving solutions, why is there no mention of solar panels or wind turbines, why?

​

A) Solar panels and wind turbines are not considered direct energy-saving devices. Rather, they are energy-generation technologies. Their purpose is to produce electricity, whereas Energy by Synergy is specifically focused on solutions that reduce the amount of energy required or consumed by an operation.

Renewable-energy systems may also require a significant initial investment, with the payback period depending on factors such as location, installation costs, energy prices and system performance. Their output can also vary according to weather conditions, season and time of day, and they may require maintenance, energy storage and additional infrastructure.

We intended primarily to promote innovative, practical energy-efficiency solutions with a low environmental impact. In evaluating any technology, it is also important to consider its full life cycle, including manufacturing, transportation, battery requirements where applicable, maintenance, and end-of-life recycling or disposal which in some countries is not available..

For these reasons, solar panels and wind turbines are not included in this particular database. This does not mean that renewable-energy generation cannot play an important role in sustainability; it simply falls outside the specific scope of Energy by Synergy, which is dedicated to technologies and practices that directly reduce energy consumption.
