TONNES OF CARBON EMISSIONS INCREASING EVERY YEAR
Energy consumption must increase every year to match the demand of increasing world population, Data centers for AI, new hotels opening, new factories increasing production. Saving energy is the most effective way.

UNPRECEDENTED SUCCESS
The 24th Skål International Sustainable Tourism Awards received a record 106 entries from 30 countries.
Participants competed across eight categories covering responsible, ethical and innovative tourism.
The eight winners were announced during the 2025 Skål International World Congress in Cusco, Peru.
3000 Trees
KENYA Coastal Restoration
Skål International Kenya Coast planted 3,000 mangrove trees at Mtwapa Creek in April 2025.
Jambojet funded 2,000 seedlings, while the Kenya Revenue Authority contributed another 1,000.
The project supported coastal protection, biodiversity, carbon capture and local environmental education.

In October 2023, Skål International was formally recognised for 30 years of UN Tourism Affiliate Membership.
The award was presented during the 44th Affiliate Members Plenary Session in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
This cooperation supports international initiatives promoting competitive, responsible and sustainable tourism.
